Our Safe Haven program is a division of our foster home program, dogs with severe special needs, terminal illnesses. Due to their delicate medical conditions and the need for a consistent, stable living environment, our Safe Haven animals are not available for adoption. They reside with foster families that provide specialized care by working closing with our veterinary partners and the animals will spend the remainder of their lives with these families. We welcome much-needed donations to continue this program and provide extensive medical care and other daily needs for these amazing animals. To date, we have had 10 dogs in our Safe Haven Program.

The fine needle aspirate revealed that it was a cancerous mass. The two types of cancer that we suspect are both deadly with little to no hope of a cure. We are treating with an alternate treatment and she is doing well. While this will not cure her, it will hopefully prolong her life so that she can enjoy a few years in her forever foster home. |
![]() CocoCoco came to us as part of a litter who were being sold on Craigslist at only 2-weeks old. Soon after coming to rescue, the whole litter came down with an unknown deadly virus, and 3 of her siblings did not survive. It was during this illness that we learned that Coco has a congenital cardiac condition; we later learned that she has a PDA. She will have heart surgery to repair the defect and is expected to live a long happy life afterwards. |
